The Dunmore
Senior Center is located in northeastern Pennsylvania, in the heart of
Lackawanna County.
The Center
first began in 1985 through the relentless efforts of a few very
determined
individuals. Over the years it has had varied locations, but always
the same goal:
To provide
senior citizens throughout Lackawanna County with quality
programs, services, and activities.
Our main
goal is to offer recreational, educational, social, and health promoting
activities
for all seniors in our area to enjoy. In addition, a nutritious
noon-time meal and
optional Choice Meal Program is available.
We want to
keep seniors informed and offer opportunities for them to live healthier
longer ~ healthy seniors stay in their own homes longer, something that
benefits the entire community.

The
Dunmore Senior Center is funded in part through the Lackawanna County
Area Agency on Aging and the Lackawanna County Commissioners Office, by
the borough of Dunmore and by the fundraising efforts of the Board of
Directors and the Site Council.
The Dunmore Senior Center currently raises about 25% of our overall
operating costs. All help is greatly appreciated!
